Ray Thapar
PRACTICE
Ray Thapar joined TGF as a litigation associate upon his call to the Bar of Ontario in October 2002. Prior to his call to the Bar, Mr. Thapar articled at a large Toronto law firm.
Mr. Thapar practices in the fields of civil and commercial litigation, breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, trust law, fraud, negligence, and banking litigation.
PROFESSIONAL INVOLVEMENT
Mr. Thapar is a member of the Canadian Bar Association and the Ontario Bar Association. He has written articles for the Canadian Bar Association Continuing Legal Education Seminars and for the Canadian Institute on subjects relating to civil litigation.
EDUCATION
Mr. Thapar obtained his Bachelor of Arts from York University and his Bachelor of Laws from Osgoode Hall Law School in 2001. Mr. Thapar graduated at the top 10 per cent of the class of 2001 at Osgoode Hall Law School. Mr. Thapar received the Law Society of Upper Canada’s Award for academic excellence.
