D.J. Miller
PRACTICE
D.J. Miller has been a partner at TGF since 1999, prior to which she was an associate at TGF and had practiced at a large Toronto law firm. Ms. Miller has a broad range of experience in bankruptcy and insolvency matters in the Commercial List and at the Court of Appeal and acts primarily for major financial institutions and professional firms involving restructuring, receiverships, national and international insolvencies and the enforcement of security. Ms. Miller is recognized as a leading lawyer in a restructuring/insolvency practice in Canada by Chambers Global for 2009. Ms. Miller was admitted to the Bar of Ontario in 1993.
PROFESSIONAL INVOLVEMENT
Ms. Miller teaches a course in Advanced Insolvency Law at the University of Windsor Law School, and is a regular instructor for the Insolvency Section of the Bar Admission Course. She also speaks at conferences and is the author of papers on issues affecting her clients. Ms. Miller is a member of the Toronto Lawyers Association, the Canadian Bar Association, the American Bankruptcy Institute, The Advocates' Society, the International Women’s Insolvency and Restructuring Confederation, INSOL International and Turnaround Management Association.
EDUCATION
Ms. Miller obtained a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) with a combined major from the University of Western Ontario in 1988 and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Windsor in 1991.
