Bio
Jaseka Veluppillai is an experienced Litigation Law Clerk with over ten years of experience supporting complex legal matters across civil, commercial, and estates litigation. Her work has included professional liability claims, contractual disputes, estate administration conflicts, and regulatory matters involving significant volumes of documentary evidence.
She has worked on matters before all levels of court in Ontario, as well as in private arbitrations and administrative tribunals. Her responsibilities include preparing and filing pleadings, motion records, and discovery materials; compiling evidence briefs; and supporting counsel during examinations, mediations, and trials.
Jaseka also has extensive experience with eDiscovery processes and legal technology. She regularly uses platforms such as Relativity, Everlaw, and Disco to coordinate document collection, review, and production. Her work has included managing legal holds, supporting compliance and internal investigations, and streamlining litigation workflows for high-volume cases.
Her previous experience spans both private practice and in-house roles, where she contributed to litigation oversight, due diligence reviews, and multi-jurisdictional discovery coordination. She has also supported anti-corruption compliance efforts through document review and risk assessments involving international counsel.
Jaseka holds a Law Clerk Diploma from Centennial College and a B.A. (Honours) from York University. She continues to build on her experience by working on complex litigation mandates that require precision, adaptability, and strong procedural knowledge.
