Andrew is a member of our Restructuring and Litigation practice groups, bringing a thoughtful and analytical approach to his work. He began his career at TGF as an articling student, where he gained hands-on experience in both restructuring and litigation matters, which he is now building upon in his practice as an associate lawyer.
During law school, Andrew actively participated in advocacy competitions, including the Osgoode Hockey Arbitration Competition, the Frozen Open Osgoode Moot, and the Dentons Cup. His involvement extended beyond the moot courtroom; he was an engaged member of the Osgoode Business Law Society and played for the Osgoode Hall hockey team. His academic excellence was recognized with the Insolvency Institute of Canada’s Prize in Insolvency Studies for achieving the highest grade in the bankruptcy and insolvency course, and the Wendy Babcock Social Justice Award for his commitment to public interest.
Before attending law school, Andrew worked as a claims adjuster at a Canadian commercial insurer, gaining firsthand experience in the dispute resolution process through various mediations and private arbitrations. During this period, he also completed a secondment with the corporate legal department, where he assisted with a range of corporate governance matters, further honing his legal and business skills.
Andrew holds a BA in Political Science and Philosophy from the University of Guelph. While completing his undergraduate degree, he demonstrated his versatility as a Sports Reporter for the University of Guelph Athletics Department, covering varsity sports and writing feature articles on athletes and coaches.
