Bio

Daniel is a member of TGF’s Restructuring and Litigation practice groups. He began his career with the firm as a summer and articling student, where he gained hands-on experience in both restructuring and litigation, establishing a solid foundation in these areas from which to continue to develop his practice. Before pursuing his legal career, Daniel earned a bachelor's degree in business administration, which provided him with a thorough understanding of business operations and strategies. This blend of practical experience and academic knowledge has equipped Daniel with a broader understanding of complex legal and business issues, enabling him to make valuable contributions to the team.

During law school, Daniel distinguished himself by winning the Insolvency Institute of Canada Law Student Writing Award in 2022 for his insightful paper, “Reverse Vesting Orders: Did We Forget About Creditor Democracy?” which was published in the 2024 edition of the Journal of the Insolvency Institute of Canada.

Daniel’s academic achievements and dedication to service have also been acknowledged with the Torkin Manes LLP award, which honors individuals who excel academically while demonstrating a strong commitment to community service. His passion for advocacy was evident through his active involvement with the Western Business Law Clinic and Pro Bono Students Canada, where he gained hands-on experience in client advocacy. Throughout his time in law school, Daniel demonstrated leadership as a class representative in the Student Legal Society for three consecutive years, reflecting a dedication to his peers and the legal community.
